DRUMS OF THE WORLD music workshop

A percussive parade around the planet. With one of the most ancient of all the world’s instruments, we journey from Greenland, through Ireland and Europe, to Africa and India, Asia and the Americas. Drums that ring, sing, talk, and make you dance! Drums of sea sounds and log drums from the forests and Pacific islands. We look at how such drums are made and what they are used for culturally. And of course there will be drumming games for hands-on experience.
